MOBILITY IN EUROPE

European education is the mobility of knowledge and persons. In order to develop the whole EU region with the perspective of reaching the Lisbon goals, it is not enough to set up centres of excellence in single regions. Knowledge must become mobile. It must be transferred from region to region, from institution to institution and from person to person. The mobility of persons supports this transfer. At the same time, it is a reason for and by itself. Mobile persons attain knowledge in other cultural environments, get inspired by it, develop their own potential, and carry this into other regions of Europe and the world.
